About Us
Europe United is a pan-European political party established by citizens from across Europe who believe in a stronger and more accountable European Union. Europe United believes the process of European integration is the most important project in our continent's modern history. We consider the European Union to be the best means to deal with the challenges of globalisation and the right forum to tackle problems like climate change and energy supply which are beyond the reach of nation states. The Union provides the citizens of Europe a venue for a stronger voice on the international scene and is the most appropriate means for developing common policies on equality, solidarity, regional development, economic growth and employment, education, science, and the promotion of democracy, civil rights and the rule of law. The Chapter Council is the "internal parliament" of Europe United. Councillors are elected for a period of two years. The Chapter council has the task to draft and decide upon policies of Europe United. Before a policy can become official, the membership and the Board have to approve that policy. A proposal for policy may be presented to the Chapter Council by at least 10% of the Membership to the Chairman of the Chapter Council.
The state chapters are the branches of Europe United in the member states of the European Union and the EU candidate countries. They act as the second-highest level of organisation below the federal organisation and their tasks are to organise activities on the ground in their respective states, connecting members from the same state and the same language and to keep in touch with lawmakers and media on the national level.
